Scout Says
Avid readers have been long acquainted with Scout. She has been an inspiration for generations of young people who have found themselves on either side, or on the fence of, the Right Thing. We might all have a Scout within us — she’s the voice which speaks to us from the recesses of our minds, even if we don’t always pause to listen.
While you're listening to your inner Scout, debating whether you can push the boundaries of what you fear in order to tap into what you really want to pen down, here we are Scout-ing for India's undiscovered writers.
February 2024
Dear writers,

Here we are, with our third issue.
And just like that we’re already into the second month of a brand new year. How time flies.
Have you writers made your writing resolutions, schedules, and launched on your diary scribbles?
Have you readers started to make headway on the ever-growing to-be-read list which loses itself in the read-halfway list or the frequently-flipped-through-but-never-read list?
At the Undiscovered Journal we’re trying to read two pages for every reel we watch. But sometimes we fall-asleep mid-page, which is a lot better than falling asleep mid-reel.
We hope the year only gets better for you. Remember Ralph Waldo Emerson? "Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year..."

At the Undiscovered Journal, we are seeking to create a repository of good writing for fiction in India. We suspect that many of our writers of short fiction are lurking in the shadows of the novel, or simply trying to survive by clinging to a screenplay or, not to mention, have been elbowed out by non fiction.

Looking forward to more discoveries,
