Abhishek Udaykumar is a writer, filmmaker and painter, and graduated from Royal
Holloway University of London with English and Creative Writing. He writes
novels, short stories, poetry and essays; and paints in different styles, with a strong
influence of Persian miniatures. His narratives reflect the human condition of rural and urban communities, and explore film as a form of novelistic, prosaic and essayistic representation.
His recent publication Photographing Jasmine, a short story, appeared in The Hoxie Gorge Review, Spring, 2023. His recent films include Child (Fiction,330 minutes), Cadmium Hollow (Fiction, 95 minutes) and Villages of Garo Hills (documentary, 148 minutes)
