Sreela Das Gupta currently works in a corporate firm, prior to which she spent over two decades in the development sector, focusing on human rights issues related to gender, social inclusion and public health. Her work has taken her both to remote villages in India as well as to strategic international forums.
She has an M.Phil in Population Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India and was later granted the Hubert H Humphrey Fellowship of the U.S. Congress to study at the Tulane School of Public Health. After thirty two years of living in Delhi, she has moved back to Calcutta – though she calls Santiniketan, home.
Sreela has published two volumes of poetry but was feeling restless till she penned down a ‘cosy mystery’ – a genre she reads as a stressbuster in her very busy schedule. Till date, she has published four such Murder Mysteries. She can be contacted on sreeladg@gmail.com
