Undiscovered Journal is where you can be discovered.

Submit your short stories and poetry to us. We do not accept any non-fiction.

This is a platform for writers of fiction, based in India. We welcome all well-crafted, bold, striking narratives. We do not need a relevant theme, we are simply looking for stories and poems which linger on long after the last word.

Submission Guidelines

Short Story Submissions: Submit one short story between 1,500-3,000 words. We do not publish flash fiction or novellas or non-fiction.
Poetry Submissions: Please submit one poem. Length no bar
Please provide a brief biographical sketch of 50 words. Please include the following contact information: name, postal address, email address and phone number. If your submission is accepted, we will get in touch with you about a longer bio and a photograph.
Submissions should be mailed on Word documents (NOT Pdfs) to theundiscoveredjournal@gmail.com
Subject line should be: "Submission: Short Story" OR "Submission: Poetry"
If you are submitting one of each, please make two different submissions
We don’t accept previously published material. This includes content that has appeared on personal blogs
We accept simultaneous submissions, which means you may send your work to other outlets However, please inform us at theundiscoveredjournal@gmail.com if your work has been selected elsewhere
Please wait one month after submission to hear from us
On acceptance we may ask you to work with us on minor editorial changes
Copyright remains with the author. Should your piece be published again, we request the courtesy of an acknowledgement stating that the piece was first published in the Undiscovered Journal
